Rivers Chautauqua Concludes With Varied Entertainments
Rivers Chautauqua closed after a three day program of diverse acts and strong lectures by Drs Minakuchi Radher and Kerby. The Liberty Belles were favorites among entertainers, while the Serbian Tamburica Band provided the big musical highlight. Despite community support the event was not financially successful.

Confirmation Classes Begin Preparations for Parish Candidates
Arch bishop Matheson oversees confirmation prep classes starting next week. The rector invites Rivers and Wheatland candidates to a meeting at St Johns Rivers on Tuesday the 13th at 7.30. Roseville district attendees meet at Roseville church on Thursday the 15th at 3.00. All enquires and previously confirmed souls are welcome.

Methodist Sunday School Picnic at Wareham Farm
Ideal weather blessed the event held Thursday with about twelve carloads of scholars and friends traveling to George and Ernest Wareham’s farm in Carnegie. Games and races followed a boys versus men baseball match, concluding with thanks to hosts and transport providers and a Pyrex casserole presented to Rev and Mrs J B E Anderson.

Bradwardine Mr. C. Record left for Winnipeg last Saturday to mark examination papers. John Thomson and family of Roden spent Sunday at Mrs. E. G. Chapman’s home. Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Alteman visited John Alteman’s home. The Sunday School picnic at Salt Lake last Friday was a success. Hugh Wilson and family motored to Fork River for a few days with relatives. W. J. Shepherd and family motored to Beulah and Birtle and returned Friday. Margaret McDonald and brother Jim of Whitewood visiting their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. McTaggart.
