Ten Years Ago Carnival Draws Large Crowd At Rink
A large turnout attended a fancy Dress Carnival on Tuesday evening at the rink. Miss Jean Johnstone won first prize as Britannia, while Miss Ethel Leary took comic costume as a Colonial Old Maid. Dad Milner barely escaped a freight train, saved by leaping clear of the tracks. Carling Club plans to hold bonspiels in early March and to establish a training site at Rivers, with a new hotel being prepared for the purpose.
