The Rivers School Trustees met at 8 p.m. on Wednesday February 18 in the school. Resolutions declare T W Offen chairman for this meeting adopt previous minutes accept municipal auditor report and publish financial statement pay accounts 273 93 and file January reports from Principal and Attendance Officer. Meeting adjourned.
Local residents attend family visits and church events as community life resumes after winter. Miss Ada Wareham and Mrs. Frame are among those noted for weekend travel, while Rev S. B. Guille’s family mourns infant twin sons. A Monster Ice Carnival is planned for March 6 at Rivers rink, and groups such as Rivers Masonic Lodge host visitors from Corinthian Lodge.

Regular meeting of Daly Council held February 17 1942 at the Municipal Office with Beattie acting Reeve in absence. Minutes read and approved. Resolutions include appointing Beattie acting Reeve, road limits permits on Alexander and Hunter Bridges, paying listed accounts, appointing Wm Myles as Noxious Weeds Inspector, re-establishing 1941 Ward Balances, investing $6005 in Second Victory Loan, and final readings for taxation by law Go 970. Meeting adjourned to March 24.
