Manitoba Winter Fair Extends March Show With Higher Prizes
The Manitoba Winter Fair runs March 16 to 18 with its Annual Spring Show despite wartime stress. The board reports a larger prize list, doubling many cattle classes and tripling the beef cattle pair prize. Entries close March 13 for cattle and poultry, with swine due by noon March 13. Judging includes Bacon Hog Carcass on March 16 and sales of purebred bulls, females, and commercial cattle March 17–18, with no price ceiling on these sales.
