At Tuesday’s meeting Mrs Alf Richardson shared harrowing experiences aboard the Athenia when torpedoed, praising Red Cross aid to the stricken. Two quilts were finished and a shipment to headquarters is planned for Friday. The branch appeals for 500000 for Russian relief and invites donations. The annual branch meeting is next Monday evening.
