Dave Luchuk and his family faced tragedy after returning to town from Hamilton Ontario where his wife and sister died within two days of each other from a flu outbreak. A sister of Mrs Luchuk was the town’s first flu patient, with hundreds following. Dave’s four brothers serve overseas while he plans to work for the railway and raise his little daughter Julia. Quiet wedding at St James Rivers unites Janet Rae and Llewellyn Davies
Miss Janet Margaret Rae and Mr Llewellyn Davies wed at St James Rivers on Wednesday at noon with Rev H McCartney officiating. The bride wore a sand suit and was given away by her father. A luncheon followed at the bride’s home and the couple planned a motor trip into the States before settling at the farm east of town.
