In Canberra the parliament passed a wheat stabilization bill to secure farmers with a five year fixed home price for wheat. Export sales will fetch world prices, with exporters reimbursed 40 percent of any excess over the fixed price and 60 percent funneled into a stabilization fund to cover dips in world prices.
