A claim offers a grain bin that holds 800 hunab els of wheat for 20 dollars in material. North American Lumber Co. supposedly has the ready stock to build it.
The article notes heavy wheat deliveries by the Wheat Pool on the last trading day, estimating over 3 million bushels from the pool. Gertrude Machen, born October 6, 1882 in Kirkland Ontario, died Saturday after years of illness. She married Fred Machan in 1912 and lived in Riverstoreside. Survived by father, son Frank, daughter Georgia, and brother Frank Dundurn Saskatchewan. Funeral held at United Church Rivera with Rev. Patteson.

The Young Conservative Club of Rivers held a public meeting in the I.C.C.F. Hall on August 12 to back Conservative candidate D. W. Beaubler for Brandon. Alf. Wareham chaired. Beaubler outlined his policy. W. G. Rothwell defended the Conservatives. Sanford Evans M.L.A. spoke on the constitutional issue. A J E Wareham urged joining the club.
Mr. and Mrs. W Parker of Rivers welcomed a son born Thursday August 12. The Aquila press notes the newborn as a family milestone in local society.
A son was born Monday August 16 to Mr. and Mrs. J. W. McLeod at McLoop-At Rivera.
