The Oak River community mourns Allen Lang aged 18 son of Mr and Mrs Henry Lang after he fatally shot himself following supper. Dr Stewart declared death by own action with no known motive. Parents and community offer condolences.
Mr and Mrs Clare Oliver and L Mikklesson of Oberon were weekend visitors at the home of Mr and Mrs T A White, staying for the weekend and dining with their hosts.
The notice lists weekly church activities with times for choir practice Friday at 8 PM and Sunday school sessions at 10 45 AM. Public worship follows at 12 30 PM, Pettapiece Sabbath School at 2 PM and Public Worship at 3 PM.

Retired minister of the United Church of Canada and ex moderator of the Synod of Manitoba died Sunday at General hospital Winnipeg after a lingering illness. He was 75. A Ontario native, he came to Winnipeg 35 years ago and served as a Presbyterian minister and clerk of the presbytery of Birtle. He led United Church congregations at Shoal Lake Bradwardine and Brandon.
Ten years ago this week the Daly district mourned the passing of Mrs. Wat Rutherford a respected pioneer.
