The Oak River community mourns Allen Lang aged 18 son of Mr and Mrs Henry Lang after he fatally shot himself following supper. Dr Stewart declared death by own action with no known motive. Parents and community offer condolences.

Death of Former Bradwardine Pastor J B McLaren

Retired minister of the United Church of Canada and ex moderator of the Synod of Manitoba died Sunday at General hospital Winnipeg after a lingering illness. He was 75. A Ontario native, he came to Winnipeg 35 years ago and served as a Presbyterian minister and clerk of the presbytery of Birtle. He led United Church congregations at Shoal Lake Bradwardine and Brandon.
