Eighth Victory Loan Campaign opens with Rivers district expected to meet its quota. Legion Carnival at Community Hall well attended led by Miss Margaret Hanlon. Rivers Board of Trade Rehabilitation Committee presents Schubert Chair concert featuring a renowned singer and violinist to aid a worthy cause. Rivers School staff and others attend Premier Garson address on education finance in Brandon. Dr Garson hopes for a better solution at the upcoming Dominion Provincial Conference.
