Ten years ago Rivers began operation of a new electric light plant under Miss I Winn. The Cardale Players presented What Happened to Jones in the 10 C F Hall before a large crowd. Word arrives of the death in action of Pte Stanley George Newman, brother of Percy Newman of Wheatland. An epidemic of whooping cough disrupted Rivers School attendance. Chester Sargent of the 45th Battalion wrote a newly letter detailing his Canada trip en route overseas.
