The Legion Branch No 75 held a 1930 start with 14 members present. A zone meeting is set for Rivers on Sept 15 at 1 30 pm to discuss attendance. An executive meeting with the branch and ladies auxiliary is planned for Sept 30 followed by Legion Week events Sept 16 21 including a baked ham supper.
The Rivers Legion Ladies Auxiliary met September 2 with 17 members present in the upper hall. No new memberships were added. Minutes and committee reports were adopted. A donation honored Charlene Smith to the Birtle Handivan Fund. Fun Day is set for October 5 in Brandon from 1 to 4 pm, and members will assist Meals on Wheels during October.
