Rivers hockey academy adds option for local students
The Rivers area launches a Hockey Skills Academy at Rivers Collegiate for 28 students with four girls, led by Bruce Helgeson and Brandon University student Stu Durston. It uses a half-time position split between Rivers Collegiate and Rivers Elementary. Officials say funding and bus costs are handled by the division, with interest from outside the division and plans to grow next year.
