Taylor family builds a 70 year hardware and trucking legacy in Rivers

The Taylor family shaped Rivers commerce for seven decades starting with James Pop Taylor in 1921 when a dray business began from home. Taylor Transfer expanded to daily Brandon and Winnipeg runs while later Taylor Hardware grew from a small office to a full store linking east and west buildings. The firm joined Allied then Home Hardware, with Frank Taylor, Mike Brandon, and JoAnn Taylor leading management through 1990s. The business also ran a farm supply center before Redfern Farm Services acquired it. The Rivers Banner congratulates Taylor-owned operations on 70 years of service.
