Manitoba Trucking Week Highlights Industry’s Vital Role
Manitoba observes National Trucking Week September 4 through 10 to honor the sector that supports jobs and supplies. Manitoba Trucking Association leader Terry Shaw notes trucking is among the largest employers per capita and a top revenue industry with about 500 larger fleets and around 4,000 licensed commercial vehicles overall. The industry promotes fuel efficiency and environmental effort through government partnerships, staff training on economical driving, and fleet upgrades to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, with continued initiatives continuing on Page 12.
