Legion Ladies plan Remembrance Day events and fundraising
The Rivers Legion Auxiliary met to plan Remembrance Day services honouring Canada’s war dead with a two minute wave of silence across six time zones. They discussed lunch for Bill Bradley's funeral, donations to Rivers Palliative Care, a Curling bonspiel hosted by Plumas Auxiliary, and a $30 hospital calendar ad. Kathy Wiebe resigned from canvassing. Sheila Rumons will lead with help from Marlene Hayhurst and Phyllis Leslie.
