Rivers WI Annual Meeting Highlights Community Service
Rivers WI celebrates a year of giving with food donations to Riverdale Harvest and gifts to Brandon women’s shelter. Members hosted events, backed Ag in the Classroom, and planned programs for 2015 including a pro gun-control resolution. The group meets January 9 at Dianne Kowalchuk’s home and ends the year with a December 14 Christmas potluck at Rivers United Church.

Police plan priorities to reduce highway speeds and enhance enforcement
Rivers police outline three year priorities focusing on speed on Highway 25 east and illegal passing, prefer return to 80 kmh, address tailgating and swerve risks, and review Autopac and MPI stop programs. They plan a posted policing plan online with public input and potential bylaws for school zones and off road vehicle use.
