Remembrance Day events span Rivers schools and legion
Branch 75 Royal Canadian Legion members attended Remembrance Day services in Rivers starting Nov 9 at Rivers Elementary and Nov 10 at Rivers Collegiate and Riverdale Personal Care Home. Auxiliary members ran a fundraising lunch at the Legion Hall as residents and students joined in hymns and readings including In Flanders Fields. Local cadets helped lay wreaths while Padre Warren Smallwood spoke on honoring the fallen.
