On Thursday November a gathering of 35 community members spoke with architect Michael Fritschis of MCM Architects Inc in the Town of Rivers council chamber. The sessions from 1 to 10:30 p.m aimed to fine tune the recreational multiplex drawings and answer questions before the next design update.
Recreation Director Claudia Nehr announces the Walk It Off program extends to December 13 with pedometer return required on that date. A quilling course starts December 6 at 7 p.m. at Rivers Collegiate. registrations and supply lists are provided. Youth floor hockey in Rivers ends December 4 while Rapid City sessions occur November 15, 29 and December 6. Ted Mayer reports a community survey to gauge support for a proposed recreation complex in Rivers and the RM of Daly. Residents are urged to answer the questions, with surveys delivered the week of November 19 24 and pickups scheduled November 26 29.
