Memorial Committee Plans Service and Royal Train Visit
May 23 1929 the Memorial Committee met to arrange the annual service at the memorial ground with Mayor Dunsmore as chair. The service is set for Sunday June 23 at 3 pm and the 45th Battalion Band will play. Transportation for the band is arranged by Jas McKenzie and H Wareham. Choirs from both town churches to lead singing. A Royal Train visit to Rivers is planned for Sunday morning June 4. An enlarged committee representing town council board of trade and the legion met to finalize plans.
