Missing Children Day highlights Manitoba cases and runs awareness
Since 1986 May 25 marks Missing Children Day as part of Missing Children Week May 19 25. Child Find Manitoba runs a Green Ribbon Campaign in May with about 3000 police reported missing yearly in Manitoba. Some cases include Waylon Smith 2006 Dwayne Ross 2003 Sunny Wood 2004 Marcus McKay 2000 and Mitchell Bunn 2007. Runaways form the majority of missing youth with 67 000 Canadian cases in 2003 79 percent runaways.
