Manitoba tax plan leaves families with high burden in Canada
Dan Kelly of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business criticizes Manitoba's 2000 budget saying it hikes the provincial personal income tax for a typical family earning 60 000 to 6394, more than Ontario and BC and even higher than Saskatchewan Newfoundland and Quebec. He notes expected tax cuts are small compared to other provinces and warns of brain drain as Manitoba lags in growth.
