Rapid City 4 H Beef Club Records April Meeting Notes

Rapid City and District 4 H Beef Club met in the basement of the Rapid City Library. Eric Hillis led the pledge and reports were read. March weighday at Homer's ranch drew a large crowd followed by lunch. Project books due May 10 and family histories due May 1. Will Hales and I hosted a Meet and Greet at the Chamber of Commerce on April 17 to spark interest. Clipping demonstration on May 7 at the Rodeo Grounds taught basics to younger members and sharpened skills for older. Club to host canteen at Rapid City Rodeo May 28-29. Next meeting set for May 10 at the library.

Weed control districts push at Manitoba trade show

At the Association of Manitoba Municipalities show in Brandon the Manitoba Weed Supervisors Association promoted weed control districts to municipalities not yet in a district. The effort aims to grow districts with face to face meetings while noting initial formation costs are low compared with benefits.
