Firefighters Face Off With Rivers Jets In Community Hockey Match
At Riverdale Recreation Centre on March 20 volunteers traded their firefighting helmets for hockey gear to play the U13 Rivers Jets. The game ended 8-7 in favor of the firefighters, followed by a pizza party and jacket presentations for the young players. A 50/50 draw raised 480 dollars for the fire department, with Dennis Wilcox winning the other half.
