Forest ranger Ken Fosty taught at Rivers on March 21 about growing shiitake and oyster mushrooms and maple syrup production. The session drew 29 attendees from Strathclair, Neepawa, Brandon and more, with starter kits offered and cultivation steps outlined for logs and live trees.
