The Rivers Ladies Auxiliary held its regular meeting with 23 members present led by President Marlene Allen. Madam Pat Elliott joined as a new member. one membership application was received.
The March branch meeting chaired by Ken Young adopted minutes and financials. The upper hall floor work is planned for March 29 to April 2 and a note urged charity for veterans. A Rivers 4-H Beef Club donation was approved alongside Legion week Sept 9–15 and a Sioux Lookout golf tournament on Aug 22. A wartime reminiscence recalls a Korean War night in 1951 with a signalist's radio find and a mortar strike near Un-Gal, ending with a patrol returning at dawn and a remembrance pledge.
