Riverdale Harvest reports February hampers and needs
In February Riverdale Harvest distributed five family three couples and five singles hampers. Donations from Rivers Women's Institute and Immaculate Conception Church helped, with storage space provided by Gord and Deb Miller. Shelves are bare again, needing canned fruit and vegetables, pastas, beans and diabetic items, though there is an overstock of soup cereals and potatoes. The group asks donors to check best before dates and to donate diabetic friendly foods. An annual meeting is set for Tuesday March 31 at 6 30 p m at Rivers United Church to review 2008 growth and changes.
