River country notes through the decades
A retrospective from 1914 to 1994 highlights local events in Rapid City and surrounding towns. It recalls a blown grist mill smokestack, town constable appointments, births and marriages, fires saved by a child’s coughing, flood of civic items, a 20th anniversary of a skating club, fluoride in water, health and 4-H events, burglaries, power and telecom outages, and infrastructure upgrades.
