A June 29 2012 community calendar lists events from July to October across Rivers Harding Riverdale and Daly. Activities include Canada Day celebrations July 1 at Rapid City arts shows fairs and meetings, plus repeated community suppers, fairs, hockey registrations, committees and club gatherings at local venues.
The recreation office announces day camps and sports camps in Rivers and Rapid City from July 2 to Aug 15. Programs include Let’s Get This Summer Started July 2–6, Games Mania July 23–27, Wacky Spirit Week August 13–17, and a July 16–20 sports camp at Riverdale Centre for grades 4–10. A summer youth drop in begins July 3 at Rivers Curling Rink with volleyball, basketball, badminton, floor hockey and dodgeball on select nights. A walking running program starts July 3 at Riverdale Centre, free to all, pre-register at 204-328-7825. Registrations open for all summer programs at the recreation office.
