Rivers Legion hosts Vimy banquet and June notices
Comrade Donny Johnson and a publishing rep visited Rivers during the first week of June to raise advertising for a Safety Tips for Farm Children booklet to be distributed to local farm youth. The Vimy Banquet honored World War I and II veterans with songs, slides, and remarks, followed by Decoration Day observances at Rivers Cemetery and a June general meeting noting repairs, grants, and community projects.
