Rivers Legion 75 Historic Roots and Community Role
Rivers Legion 75, founded September 18, 1929, began with 14 charter members and grew into a community hub. The hall evolved from early fire hall or rink meetings to a dedicated building near the Masonic Lodge, with events like New Year’s Eve dances and a 1978-79 expansion adding a kitchen and beer license. The club supports sports, 4-H, and scholarships, offers affordable rental space with VLTs and darts, hosts events such as Rollin into Rivers car show, golf tournament, Dinner Auction, Legion Week, and a Christmas Craft Show, and preserves veterans memorabilia for visitors.
