Rivers Comets inducted to Manitoba Hall of Fame in 1960s group photo
The Rivers Comets of 1964–69 were honored at a Manitoba Baseball Association Hall of Fame ceremony in Morden Man on June 2. Twenty-six members or representatives attended, with 89 total attendees from five provinces. Events included golf, a banquet, and a formal induction featuring 32 names, plus a long list of deceased and absent members. The team had joined the South Central Baseball League in 1964, won five league titles in six seasons, and disbanded after 1969 as players moved away or pursued education.
