The Public Utilities Board set new rates for Riverdale Municipality after a June hearing in Rivers. The final order lowers some proposed increases while raising the minimum charges, affecting water and sewer rates, bulk water, and reserve funding with a September 2015 effective date.
CN crews lay a second rail line east of Levine to west of Hwy 10, eight kilometers, using gravel from Beever pit west of Beever farm. Daily Rivers freight traffic exceeds 32 trains with two mile long consists. Crews stockpile ties and crushed rock in Rivers as 70,000 concrete ties are removed from a flat bed and relocated south of the elevator.
