River hosts annual two day fair with strong produce displays
The River fair on July 15 and 16 drew higher gate entries and similar exhibits to last year. Vegetables and cattle rose, ponies and horses showed steady entries, judges praised home living displays, and livestock winners included Marcia Carter and Kristen Carter Preston among others. Community events featured pony plop, pancake breakfast, suppers, ball games, a pet show, and a charity fundraiser with substantial prize winnings.
