Rivers Train Station Restoration Committee Plans Future
The Rivers Train Station Restoration Committee formed in 2006 aims to restore the Federally Designated Heritage station and run it on alternative energy. They lease the station from VIA Rail for 40 years, pursue heritage tourism and sustainability, and have completed roof and brick work along with wheel benches and signage. Donations of $20+ receive tax receipts as work proceeds toward a small museum and RV amenities.
