Food safety outdoors summer picnic tips
Manitoba Agriculture guidance covers handling cold and hot foods for picnics. Keep cold foods at 40 F or below and hot foods hot, use insulated coolers with ice packs, limit cooler lid openings, and store drinks separately. Do not leave perishables in the danger zone longer than two hours, or one hour above 90 F. Bring clean water and sanitizing supplies, and enjoy a safe summer outdoors.
