Christmas Day Miracle in Rivers Car Restored by Officer Max
A Westman woman stranded by a Manitoba Christmas blizzard returned to Rivers to find her car dead after days parked at the station. Const. Max Tschuschka, recently promoted and serving six months, answered an anonymous call and boosted the vehicle at 10:30 p.m. proving an ordinary rescue by going beyond the call of duty. Nancy McLennan faced an unexpected blizzard with the Trans-Canada closed and travel plans disrupted.
