The Rivers and District 4H Beef club held its organizational meeting on November 19 2023 at the Rivers Curling Club with Karas Manz as president Austyn Peters as vice president Shayden Manz as secretary and Tarron Basaraba as treasurer. The group participated in the Santa Claus Parade on November 24 and held weigh day on December 3 at HTA Charolais followed by a sock exchange. The club collected nonperishable food for the local food bank and donated a full box. Season’s greetings were extended.
The Rivers Legion Ladies Auxiliary held a November 28 2023 Xmas supper and a December 5 2023 regular meeting in the Rivers Legion upper hall with no new membership applications. A donation to Riverdale Harvest Food Bank was made and a new cooler purchased for the canteen. The next regular meeting is January 16 2024.
