Heart and Stroke Foundation marks 40 years in Manitoba
Forty years ago heart attack and stroke were Canada’s leading killers with no care units or research. Thanks to Foundation funded research and education deaths have fallen 50 percent, yet 79 000 Canadians will die this year. Donations fund research and health promotion, with most dollars supporting research and administration costs kept low.
