Manitoba seeks gun crime action and FNIP policing funding
Manitoba Justice Minister Kelvin Goertzen says provincial and territorial justice ministers will meet with the federal minister virtually Feb 22 to 24 to press for renewal of the Guns and Gangs Violence Action Fund and expansion of the First Nations policing program and Legal Aid. He cites underfunding and calls for greater federal support to improve safety in Manitoba communities.
