Outdoor skating rink near Rivers kept alive by Kroeger brothers
Rivers residents enjoy an informal outdoor skating rink on a pond east of town created by brothers Bill and Dale Kroeger. They flood the surface each winter, shovel daily, and maintain two sections for all ages while navigating fluctuating weather and four foot snow banks.
