Arena demolition cement moved to fill nearby slough
The site of Riverdale Community Gardens saw cement broken up by a jackhammer by E F Moon Construction of Portage la Prairie. Large chunks are moved to a nearby farm to fill a slough with no extra town cost, part of the $29 500 demolition tender. The old arena remains deposited in Rivers refuse compound and the former ice area stays intact with no future plans.
