Riverdale Hospital 50th anniversary marks half century
Rivers and Daly voters approved an 18 bed hospital in 1958 and Riverdale Hospital Auxiliary formed in 1959 with Jessie Bell as president. By 1960 the hospital opened as 456 members raised 4442, and a 2009 RDHA celebration noted $500000 donated, 700000 volunteer hours, and 128 births in 1961.
