Rivers Collegiate PAC reviews upgrades and programs
The Rivers Collegiate Parent Advisory Council met December 12 with parents, principal Sheppard and vice principal Peters. They discussed a front sign estimate, stage curtains, interim occupancy for renovated spaces, band room readiness by January, canteen pricing and fundraising potential, meth awareness, pre calculus course concerns, Spirit Week plans, and January 10 meeting plans.

Recreation sessions in January at Rivers facilities
A new walking session runs Jan 17 to Mar 23 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 15 to 9 30 pm at Rivers Collegiate. Pre register at the recreation office. Aerobics runs Jan 9 to Mar 22 on Mondays and Wednesdays at Rivers Elementary from 6 45 to 7 45 pm. Registration ends Jan 4. Volleyball league plays Sundays Jan 22 to Mar 19 at Rivers Collegiate with a March 4 tournament. Teams of seven or individuals welcome. Registrations due Jan 13. A dragonfly project meets Jan 12 and 19 at Rivers Collegiate and Rapid City School. registrations due Dec 30. See bulletin boards at Rivers and Rapid City post offices. Office closed Dec 23 to Jan 8. Drop boxes at Rivers and Rapid City. Answering machine numbers provided will be monitored.
