Christmas Mart draws strong showing at Rivers Farmers Market
A Christmas Mart hosted after the Santa Claus Parade by Rivers Farmers Market raised funds for local groups. Vendors offered crafts, baking, preserves, candles, and woodwork while the Red Cross hosted a bake table and raffle drawing generating 78.50. The Rivers Rams girls volleyball team defeated Minnedosa 3 games to 2 in a tense Zone 7 final on November 28. Senior setter Shannon Brown sparked a comeback from 12-0 down in game four as Rivers rallied to claim the championship for the second straight year. Co captains Brodie Broughton, Shannon Brown, and Kelly Doyle were honored as they graduate.
