Rivers Legion Update on Roof Phase and Events
The December legion meeting saw 12 members present with two new members to be sworn in January. Phase 1 of the roof is finished under budget and inspected. a grant partial payment is forthcoming. Phase 2 should wrap in spring. A bonspiel in November did well and is planned again for 2015. Grey Cup party drew 22, business party 97. a $100 donation to Rivers Minor Hockey was approved. The region seeks cleaning help for the upper hall. salary and duties are at the office. Meeting adjourned after 55 minutes. The Rivers Legion Ladies Auxiliary Christmas gathering drew 128 members. meals by Shelly Moms Kitchen, food donations to Riverdale Harvest, and toys for Christmas Cheer. New membership applications, Tree of Lights donation, and an executive slate were announced. Dues due by Dec 31. early draw in January. Santa parade helpers Adrienne Beaudin and Lisa Smith thanked. Next auxiliary meeting Jan 5 if weather allows.
