Recyclers Urged After C Grade In Community Report
Shirley Russell reports Rivers earned a C grade for the year ending March 2005 with residents recycling 29.2 kilograms per person, below the required 30 to 39 kg for a B. Residents are urged to start or increase recycling at Rolling Dale Enterprises depot near the curling rink on first and third Saturdays, or use drop-off bins. St Nicholas Tea At Immaculate Conception Church Winners
Immaculate Conception parish held its annual St Nicholas tea on Saturday December 3. Raffle prizes included a main Christmas basket won by Wayne Dixon and a grocery hamper to Don Kellett of Killarney. Penny prize winners filled the list with numerous gifts from Barb Sveistrup to Lynn Kroeger and Barb Roberds among many others.
