Rivers history noted in age spreading notices and incidents
A sprawling archival slice lists events from 1947 to 1997 in Rivers. It records a proposed ten thousand dollar rink bylaw backed by about eighty three percent of residents, a 4600 volt shock to a hydro worker, school construction delays and venue shifts, thefts near Rivers School, cattle deaths in vehicle collisions, several births and anniversaries, UFO sight reports, RCMP investigations, sport team advances, and local accidents and fires with dates and names.
