Southwest crop update shows mixed yields and delayed harvest
Seven days of storms drenched the Southwest with 60 to 117 mm of rain slowing harvest across crops. Potatoes corn sunflowers and soybeans gain modest benefit while yields stay average to below average. Barley oats and cereals progress, canola and flax show stage changes, grasshoppers move to later crops, and hay supply remains tight with rising prices and high costs for winter feed.
