Life-long love affair with trees on a Manitoba farm
Bessie and Frank Anderson, aged 82 and 89, maintain a 1.5 mile shelterbelt on their Forest area farm with MAWP support. They plant trees for shelter and wildlife, hand-weed rows, and add trees for birthdays and memorials. The shelterbelt, old and new, and a four-acre pond created by Habitat Heritage Corp. enhance habitat for birds and animals.
